The MEDC 2005 website is live.  http://www.medc2005.com/  Conference will be running from May 9-12 and hosted by Manadalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Vegas and will have over 80 sessions and keynote will be by Bill Gates.  Supposed to be a great conference and I'm hoping on attending.

Looks like Sony is getting out of the consumer PDA business by dropping the Sony Clie line.  Since it runs Palm OS I don't think it's such a big deal ;) I never did like developing Palm apps.   What does concern me is only 10Million PDAs where shipped in 2004 (according to IDC) but Gartner is saying it was over 12Million; either way it's still low it think.  Hopefully prices for Microsoft PDAs and Smartphones come down in price so they can be more competative because $400 for a phone is pretty steep for the average consumer.

Looks like Virgin Mobile is going to be launching their MVNO pay as you go service starting March 1 here in Canada and they are going to have a big party on Dundas Square (downtown Toronto). Finally we are getting some competition up here, although they will be using the Bell Mobility networks. Hopefully this sparks some corporate competitiveness and help bring some prices down or bring new service here but I doubt it especially since Rogers Wireless just scoped up Fido.

Put a quick sample together on drawing rotated text using .NETCF because I have seen it many times on the newsgroups and other forums.  It uses the OpenNETCF 1.2 SDF Drawing.GraphicsEx and FontEx classes so you will need the SDF installed on your box.
